One day is not going to set you off your goals as long as you are consistenly eating healthy! Trying dishes that are tasty is also important to eating healthy foods. Stressing over your diet is never good though because this can cause discouragement and lead to obsession over diets. When you are cutting, you should only be eating 300-500 calories below your maintenace calories which is the amount of calories you should eat to maintain your current weight. When bulking or putting on weight, you should be eating in a 300-500 calorie surplus daily. Remember, one pound of fat is around 3500 calories but when actively exercising those extra calories can help you gain more muscle and feel stronger each workout session in the gym.
